Arrival at Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa + Dinner on 7 Mile Beach

My Hun and I touched down in Grand Cayman on Saturday afternoon after a relaxing flight with United Airlines in business class (highly recommend for the extra comfort). After landing at Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM), we walked off the plane on a ramp to immigration. Grand Cayman is quite modern, so all we had to do was spend a few minutes at the digital kiosk, answer a few questions, and see a customs agent for an immigration ticket. Form there, I made my way to the beautiful Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa.

For those wondering about Kimpton Seafire reviews, I can confidently say this: from the moment I stepped onto the property, I knew I was in for something special. The resort’s vibrant, modern design complements the natural beauty of its beachfront location at Seven Mile Beach Grand Cayman, and the friendly staff make you feel at home.

After checking in, I couldn’t resist exploring the property. For our first trip to Grand Cayman, it was easy to see the Kimpton Seafire amenities are top-notch, with a large pool, a luxury spa, and easy access to the beach, making it one of the top choices for Grand Cayman accommodations. I took a quick stroll down 7 Mile Beach—trust me, it’s as gorgeous as they say.

For dinner, we hit up Coccoloba, a beachside Mexican street food bar and grill just steps from the resort. The vibes here are casual and laid-back, with incredible views of the beach. If you’re looking for fun Grand Cayman places to stay and eat, Coccoloba should be on your list!

Day 1: The Ultimate Sunday Brunch at Ave

Sunday morning kicked off with brunch at Ave, located at the Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa. Ave is known for its Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and weekend brunch, offering a variety of fresh, mouth-watering dishes. The tropical cocktails were the perfect addition to my sunny morning, and the restaurant’s open, airy design made it a great spot to relax and enjoy the day. If you’re staying at the resort during your first trip to Grand Cayman (or subsequent trip), brunch here is a must!

From 12-2pm we stuffed our faces before deciding to walk off what calories we could on a 7-mile beach stroll. That evening we decided to stay in, watch the olympics, and order room service.

Day 2: Jet Ski Island Tour – Starfish, Stingrays, and Rum Point

Monday was all about adventure! After almost getting scammed on our first trip to Grand Cayman by booking a jet ski experience through a sketchy company, our concierge helped us book a reputable Jet Ski tour of the island (cost: $750.50 for two people) that included snorkeling, a stop at Starfish Point, and a visit to Rum Point. This tour is a must for thrill-seekers! Seeing the island from the water, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and spotting starfish was an unforgettable experience. Plus, driving a wave runner is fun all by itself!

After the tour, we decided to keep the ocean vibes going with a relaxing paddleboard session on 7 Mile Beach Grand Cayman. Our resort partners with Red Sail Sports, a popular water experience company on the island. The water was calm, making it the perfect spot to practice my paddleboarding skills. It’s a great way to soak in the sun while enjoying the beauty of the island!

Day 3: Wildlife & Relaxation – Cayman Turtle Centre + Kimpton Seafire Spa

Tuesday morning, we visited the Cayman Turtle Centre, where we learned all about the island’s wildlife and conservation efforts. It’s a great stop for animal lovers, cruise passengers, and families. Although it was cool to see such large turtles, overall the experience was “ok”. It’s really more for children, but we made the most of visiting the reptiles, birds, and learning more about turtle conservation efforts through a short film. Oh, and how can I forget the lunch? The mahi mahi wrap and arnold palmer were great!

After my wildlife encounter, I treated myself to a luxurious spa day at the Kimpton Seafire Spa. For $300, I experienced one of the best massages of my life! The spa offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a few days of adventure. Not only did I sip champagne and choose from over 4 different custom lotions, but the facilities were great and I got to nibble on house-made chocolates.

Before heading back home, we enjoyed a final dinner at Ave. This time, I savored their Mediterranean-inspired dinner menu while taking in the beach views—talk about a perfect way to wrap up our trip!

Can’t Miss: Lunch at Peppers Bar & Grill – Authentic Jamaican Jerk in Grand Cayman

Although my first trip to Grand Cayman was coming to an end, I made sure to grab lunch on the way to the airport at Peppers Bar & Grill, a local favorite known for its authentic Jamaican jerk cuisine. The food was flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. If you’re a fan of Caribbean food this spot is not to be missed!
